Pena, Quijada Win SPRO Frog Tournament on Havasu

The 2013 SPRO Frog Tournament on Lake Havasu was a big success in more ways than one. After 60 boats battled it out for the grand prize, there was a total of $13,000 in cash given away in addition to thousands of dollars in free product.

Winning the event with more than 19 pounds and enjoying a $3,500 payday was the team of Joe Pena and Ross Quijada from Parker, Arizona. Their big bag also included the second-biggest bass of the tournament, a 5.70-pound largemouth that earned them an additional $540 in prize money. There was a fairly substantial weight gap between first and second place, with Micah and Jimmy Jones weighing in a 14.72-pound sack and earning $2,000.

The Big Bass Award and $900 was awarded to Ray Lillard and JJ Gibbs, who landed a 6.97-pound largemouth.
