Wired2fish Welcomes McKeon Roberts to Team

Wired2fish is making moves to further expand our industry-leading video production in order to continue bringing the best online fishing content to our rapidly growing worldwide audience. As a result, we’re thrilled to announce the hiring of our newest Videographer and Editor, McKeon “Keys” Roberts.

Originally from North Dakota, Roberts is now based in Grand Rapids, Minn. and brings a wealth of multi-species angling experience to the table. He cut his teeth wading rivers in search of bass, muskie and everything in between. His blue-collar approach to fishing will be a great addition as we expand our coverage of all sides of the sport.

Continuing Wired2fish’s mission to conserve our precious fishing resources, Roberts has extensive experience in the wildlife conservation field. Most recently, Roberts has worked with the Itasca County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD). Itasca County is home to more than 1,100 lakes and he worked to survey them all for aquatic invasive species.

He’s also an accomplished musician with a background in sound engineering and audio editing. When he’s not on the water, you’ll find Roberts in his home studio writing music and playing the guitar, drums, banjo and bass.

“I couldn’t be happier to join the Wired2fish community,” Roberts said. “The first thing that came to my mind was the perfect marriage of combining my passion for fishing and creativity. I love to capture the small, often-missed points of fishing that I appreciate and share it with others. I like to use a lot of unconventional techniques, so I’m looking forward to helping others catch more fish throughout the country.”

Wired2fish CEO Todd Hammill is looking forward to what’s to come from Roberts.

“The addition of ‘Keys’ will increase both the quality and quantity of our video production efforts and we’re very excited to have him on board,” Hammill said. “He’s an accomplished angler and a welcomed addition to our video editing and field production staff.”

Help us welcome Keys to the team!
