Bassmaster Provides Entries at Logan Parks Fishing Foundation Nitro Boats NSANE Tournament

Logan Parks Fishing Foundation Nitro Boats NSANE Tournament

The Logan Parks Fishing Foundation is proud to announce a new collaboration with Bassmaster and Hank Weldon, Bassmaster Opens Tournament Director, that will provide career-changing opportunities for student anglers. Through this initiative, the top two finishers in the college division of the 2025 Logan Parks Fishing Foundation Nitro Boats NSANE Tournament presented by Abu Garcia will each be awarded free entry into the 2026 Bassmaster Opens, selecting the division that best fits their path.

For many student anglers, the Opens represent the next step toward a professional career, but the cost of entry often serves as a major barrier. By pairing Open entries with the NSANE Tournament’s record-breaking prize money and scholarships, the Logan Parks Fishing Foundation is helping remove financial roadblocks and opening the door for more anglers to pursue their dreams.

For Logan Parks, this mission is personal. Upon graduating college, he won the Bass Pro Shops US Open National Amateur Team Championship, a moment he describes as the financial catalyst that gave him the ability to chase his professional fishing career.

“I’ll never forget what that opportunity did for me,” said Logan Parks, Founder of the Logan Parks Fishing Foundation and Bassmaster Elite Series pro. “Winning the Bass Pro Shops US Open gave me the resources and confidence to take the leap into the next chapter of my career. By working with Bassmaster and Hank Weldon, we’re creating similar life-changing opportunities. Our goal is simple—we don’t ever want a student angler to quit fishing because of a lack of opportunity.”

“For young anglers, this pathway represents a chance to turn passion into possibility,” said Hank Weldon, Bassmaster Opens Tournament Director. “It’s about giving them the stage, the structure, and the confidence to believe that their dreams in competitive bass fishing are within reach.”

The 2025 NSANE Tournament, hosted on Lake Martin in Auburn, Alabama, November 14–16, pairs college boaters with high school co-anglers in its unique format. Already recognized as the largest high school and college bass fishing event of its kind, the tournament will award over $300,000 in cash, scholarships, prizes, and a Nitro bass boat giveaway.

With Bassmaster’s support and the addition of Opens entries for the top two college anglers, the NSANE Tournament further cements its place as the premier platform for youth angling development — empowering student anglers to take the next step toward their professional dreams.
