Wired2fish is proud to partner with Rapala to give away brand-new baits from its popular CrushCity lineup. The baits we’re giving away are for 2027, and not yet available in stores. Five lucky winners will each receive five different baits from plenty of new different options. Before we get to the new baits, part of Rapala’s push for 2027 are updates to existing baits too. For example, the new “Lil’ Crushers” lineup includes downsized versions of proven CrushCity favorites—the Lil’ Mayor, Lil’ Freeloader and Lil’Mooch Minnow. The creature-bait Bronco Bug will now be available in a new 3.25-inch size. The Mooch Minnow expands with six new colors for walleye anglers, including Black Gold, Fire Flame, Green Perch, Hot Firecracker, Hot Flash and Purpledescent. And CrushCity’s Freeloader will now come in 3 1/4-inch finesse and 7 1/4-inch magnum profiles.

About the New CrushCity Baits from Rapala
The CEO
CrushCity launched the CEO, a purpose-built urchin-style bass lure system designed to simplify rigging and deliver out-of-the-package performance. Engineered over a year using a weighted glass powder core and durable Super TPE, the bait provides long castability alongside a controlled, natural slow-fall rate. It pairs directly with the custom VMC RedLine Series Urchin Neko Hook and features integrated alignment dimples to eliminate setup guesswork while still allowing angler customization. The lineup is available in two application-specific sizes: a softer 15 mm version for finesse tactics and a stiffer 21 mm model for aggressive, larger-profile presentations.
The Avatar Shad
CrushCity introduced the Avatar Shad, a versatile soft swimbait built from durable, buoyant Super TPE material and infused with Smart Injection Technology. Its segmented body, specialized dorsal fin, and molded bill deliver realistic full-body swimming action across various speeds, whether rigged on a jig head, weedless swimbait hook, or as a bladed jig trailer. Available in 13 colors, the multi-application lure offers anglers longevity and natural action when targeting bass and other freshwater predators.
The Governor
CrushCity released the Governor, a pre-rigged 6-inch swimbait engineered to give anglers complete control over presentation, depth, and retrieve speed. Its key innovation, the Screw Diver System, utilizes interchangeable tungsten weights so anglers can quickly adjust the sink rate to fish anywhere from shallow cover to deep structure without changing lures. Built with a solid body for enhanced durability, it features a natural swimming action alongside a magnetic hook hanger and a swiveling hook harness that reduces leverage during fish fights. The Mako Minnow
CrushCity released the Mako Minnow, a highly durable soft swimbait engineered specifically to target aggressive inshore saltwater species like speckled trout and redfish. Constructed from buoyant Super TPE material using Smart Injection Technology, the bait combines a hard-kicking paddle tail with extreme longevity to withstand repeated strikes from toothy predators. CrushCity now has the Creeper, a 3-1/4-inch soft lure for saltwater predators that blends a shrimp-inspired profile with an oversized curl tail. The Inspector
CrushCity debuted the Inspector, an ultra-finesse soft-plastic worm developed in collaboration with MLF pro Jacob Wheeler to target pressured bass in tough fishing conditions. Designed with a thin profile and subtle spade tail, the lure generates continuous, lifelike motion with minimal rod movement. A reinforced nose section and an integrated slot for VMC Crossover Rings provide durability and simplified setup for Neko, drop shot, wacky, and shaky head rigs. Available in 5-inch and 6.5-inch sizes, the Inspector incorporates Smart Injection Technology and dual-hue core-shot options across 14 proven colors.
Three New Baits in the “Lil’ Crushers” Lineup
The Lil’ Crushers soft plastic family offers anglers a versatile collection of compact baits available in a variety of forage-matching and attractor colors. Three new baits are part of group. Leading the lineup, the highly active Sizzle Shad utilizes an ultra-responsive hinged tail to generate enticing movement even at the slowest retrieve speeds. The Trident takes a subtler approach with a bug-meets-minnow profile that delivers a gentle gliding action ideal for targeting fish feeding on aquatic insects and small forage. Rounding out the roster, the Fryball combines dual straight tails with a compact baitfish body to complete a system built for everything from crappie, bluegill, and trout to finesse bass.
