I recently saw the new DECKED truck bed storage system in a trade magazine and contacted the President of the company, Lance Meller. We scheduled a conference call, also with their Marketing and Sales head Lee Roquet. They took me through the product and I decided to get one.

The whole product came in a single box weighing less than 200 pounds, yet it can hold loads up to 2,000 pounds. You can basically install in the whole system in a short bed truck (long bed truck option coming soon) with a Phillips screwdriver, socket wrench and open end wrenches.

You set the ammo cans to the rails for support and additional storage in the system. Once those are positioned you can install the center rail and the driver’s side DECK for the drawer. Then the passenger side DECK. Everything bolts together, but the system is held in place by J-hooks that attach to your truck. You don’t have to drill holes in your truck bed to install it.

Each drawer will hold 200 pounds of gear. The wheeled drawers install easily. Spacers in the drawers, the DECKED logo with bottle opener and a measuring plate are the final installs.

You can buy a DECKED system for as little as $975.   I think for this quality of storage in your truck is a great deal. You can find out more about the system at www.decked.com. Or look for them in the back of Scott Martin’s, Brandon Palaniuk’s, Brandon McMillan’s and Steston Blaylock’s truck beds.
