Suggs and Estes win Wired2fish World Championship

FLW pro Scott Suggs and local angler Bryan Estes claimed first place in the second annual Wired2Fish World Championship at Comlara Park in Central Illinois yesterday. They caught their fish in mid depth ranges and said these bass were post-spawn. “This is a great event and a great fishery” noted Suggs. “We had a blast.” They had a 5 bass limit that weighed 19.66 pounds.
 BASS Elite Series pro Tommy Biffle and local Jerry Martoglio were second with 13.43 pounds.
Pro’s were paired with local anglers and fished out of small boats with 9.9 hp engines. Tommy Biffle noted ” This event reminded me of how I started and it was a cool  deal…. Makes you appreciate what we have with our boats now…that is for sure.”
Wired2Fish pro’s Matt Herren, Shaw Grigsby,  Gary Klein, Mike McClelland, Jared Lintner, Jeff Kriet, and Denny Brauer also fished. All but two boats had limits and this tournament ran in conjunction with a media event at Sam Leman Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Bloomington, Illinois  and a meeting and video shoot with the pro’s at Wired2Fish headquarters.
