John Clark Named New General Manager of Skeeter Boats

In a press release issued on June 20, 2024, Yamaha’s U.S. Marine Business Unit announced that John Clark was appointed as General Manager for Skeeter Boats. Clark, who has been at the company since 2006, will provide overall direction for Skeeter, guide business operations, and promote company values. He will also develop and deliver high quality products to customers at the helm of the storied bass boat manufacturer.

“Skeeter remains dedicated to investing in resources that allow us to be an innovative leader in the boating industry,” said Ben Speciale, President, Yamaha U.S. Marine Business Unit. “As General Manager, John’s steadfast leadership, experience and strong financial management principles will allow us to continue to invest in the people, facilities and equipment that will make our brands stronger.”

Clark got his start at Skeeter in 2006, focused on improving budgeting and forecasting abilities to assist in management planning in the accounting department. Since then, Clark has served in a number of different roles. This included plenty of time ensuring Skeeter’s quality control measures were met, as Quality Assurance Manager and Director of Quality Assurance. He also worked in Customer Relations where he expanded Skeeter’s customer service skill set and tools through new software solutions, warranty management systems and the launch of Integrity Services.

Before his appointment as General Manager, Clark served as Assistant General Manager, where he managed daily operations, staff, facilities and looked out for Skeeter’s long-term vision. Clark reports directly to Ben Speciale, President, Yamaha U.S. Marine Business Unit.
