Major League Fishing (MLF) postponed two Phoenix Bass Fishing League (BFL) Presented by T-H Marine tournaments originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 24, due to forecasted winter weather that could create hazardous travel conditions across the region.

The affected events include the Choo Choo Division season opener on Lake Guntersville and the Cowboy Division tournament on Toledo Bend Reservoir. Both events have been rescheduled and will now be part of back-to-back tournament weekends later this season.

The Cowboy Division tournament on Toledo Bend Reservoir moved to Sunday, Feb. 22, and will serve as the second event of a doubleheader weekend in Zwolle, Louisiana. Anglers will launch from San Miguel Park.

The Choo Choo Division tournament on Lake Guntersville has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 8, where it will become the second event of a back-to-back weekend in Guntersville, Alabama. Launch for those events will take place at Civitan Park.

As with all BFL divisions, the top 45 boaters and co-anglers in points, along with the five tournament winners from each division, will advance to one of six BFL Regional tournaments this fall. Boaters will compete for a top prize of a Phoenix 819 Pro powered by a 200-horsepower Mercury or Suzuki outboard valued at $50,000, while co-anglers will fish for a Phoenix 518 Pro with a 115-horsepower outboard valued at $33,500.

The 2026 Phoenix BFL Presented by T-H Marine features 24 divisions and 128 tournaments nationwide, catering to weekend anglers. Advancement from regional competition leads to qualification for the prestigious BFL All-American, one of the longest-running championships in competitive bass fishing. The 2026 BFL All-American will take place May 28-30 at Lake Murray in Columbia, South Carolina.
