Beloved St. Louis Rheumatologist and professor emeritus at Washington University School of Medicine, Dr. Richard D. Brasington, 71, drowned on the North Fork of the White River on Sunday, April 30, 2023 while wade fishing outside his cabin on the North Fork of the White River for trout. A Kayaker found his body down stream from his cabin in just a couple feet of water. It is unclear as to the cause of his drowning.
He had last spoken to his wife that morning to let her know he was going fishing at the cabin.
