George Wins LEER Cover Cash on Rayburn

T-H Marine pro Sam George started off his rookie campaign on the FLW Tour with a bang on Texas’ Sam Rayburn Reservoir last weekend. George primarily milked one offshore sweet spot en route to a 9th place finish in his first ever FLW Tour event.

Not only did George take the 9th place trophy, he also hauled home the LEER “Cover Cash” prize. Earning an extra $500 for being the highest finishing registered “Cover Cash” participant. George was excited to learn he was the highest “Cover Cash” finisher and already had plans to make a Tackle Warehouse order for the next tournament in Florida with his winnings.

This is George’s 3rd LEER truck cap; look, performance, and the “Cover Cash” program were cited as his reasons for purchasing a LEER. Still, George came extremely close to missing out on the $500 prize altogether.

“I actually didn’t get signed up for the program until tournament registration the day before the event started,” George admitted. “My practice wasn’t real great and I would have never guessed I’d end up with a top 10. Fortunately FLW Tour veteran Bill McDonald was adamant I get registered and I took the time to sign up. It took all of 3 minutes, tops! I can honestly say that’s the quickest $500 I’ve ever made.”

Unusually high water made finding bass on big Sam Rayburn tricky, but George located one key high spot that produced most of his fish. George was fishing around grass but his key area was a 30-by-30 foot “clean spot” with some pea gravel. The FLW Tour rookie used a Greenfish Tackle Football Jig and Salmo Rattlin’ Hornet crankbait to exploit the area and catch his bass.

As 2019 tournament season begins, it’s important to remember the benefits of the LEER “Cover Cash” program aren’t limited to full-time professionals with fiberglass truck caps. There are over 350 events eligible for “Cover Cash” payouts; including FLW BFL events, numerous regional team trails, and walleye tournaments.

Owning any LEER tonneau cover or truck cap qualifies you for “Cover Cash” and it’s FREE to register. To learn more about the program or to yourself registered, follow this link to . If you’d rather call than click, give Dynamic Sponsorships a call at (918) 742-6424 and ask for Luke or Kendell.
