Today’s boats carry more electronics than ever before. As a result, anglers need mounts that can handle the weight and protect their investment. In this video, David Walker explains how he secures multiple graphs on his boat and why durable mounts matter.

Why Heavy-Duty Mounts Matter
Boat electronics continue to grow in size. Therefore, mounting systems must evolve as well. Walker points out that modern mounts allow anglers to run different size graphs together. That flexibility creates a cleaner and more functional layout. Equally important, these mounts improve visibility. Walker positions his graphs higher at the bow. Because of that elevation, he can read his screens clearly while fishing. Additionally, the mount system tilts forward. This design allows quick access underneath the unit. Instead of removing the entire bracket, he simply tips it forward. That saves time and simplifies maintenance. Most importantly, strong mounts reduce vibration. When you hit waves at high speed, unsecured electronics can shake hard. Over time, that movement can loosen hardware or damage components. With reinforced mounts, Walker eliminates that concern.
Console Setup for Maximum Visibility
At the console, Walker runs two 12-inch graphs. He dedicates one to structure scan. Meanwhile, he uses the other for mapping and traditional 2D sonar. Once again, he relies on the same heavy-duty mount system. However, placement also matters. Instead of stacking the electronics too high, Walker mounts them lower on the console. Therefore, his line of sight stays above the graphs while driving. He avoids looking between screens. Instead, he simply glances down for quick reference.
Protect Your Investment
Electronics play a key role in modern fishing. They help anglers locate structure, find fish and navigate safely. Because of that importance, protecting them should remain a top priority. With reinforced mounts, Walker removes the worry. His electronics stay secure in rough water. His visibility stays clear. And his setup remains clean and functional. If you run multiple electronics on your boat, upgrading your mounts could make all the difference.
