Curt Johston, owner of Zipper Worm Company, sent us a pack of his latest “monster” creation called The Goliath. It’s an overwhelming large piece of plastic. We saw some jokes about new swimbaits that mimic baby seals after Shark Week started airing this week. Well this would probably fool a Great White with its size.
They make a unique profile of plastics with small appendages down the sides of the baits that make them appear somewhat like a zipper. If you’re not familiar with them, Zipper Worms have sort of a cult following out west and scattered followers throughout the Southeast and Midwest.
The latest creation though is a hoss. We just had to share it with you guys and gals. The bait is a whopping 13 1/2 inches long and more than an inch wide in places. It’s got a ton of appendages on it that wiggle and gyrate as you move it in the water. It’s a beast to cast and must have a huge profile in the water. Probably a killer night-fishing bait.
Rest assured if a bass bites this bait, he either thinks he’s the meanest bass in the pond or the biggest.
