Why Changing Your Cadence Will Get More Bites

Being more aggressive with a topwater is actually often a better approach than trying to be stealthy and natural. Most topwater strikes are impulsive and explosive, so keep your cadence fast and aggressive. And as the bass see more and more topwaters throughout the season, offering something different is often a big key to getting bites others are not. We discussed this topic with Megabass Field Engineer and Designer Kenichi Iida who has been designing topwaters and other lures to offer the bass something different and fit the needs of more demanding anglers and pressured bass. He shares some great insight on topwater bass fishing with Publisher Jason Sealock.
