How to Fish Jerkbaits to Catch More Bass From the School

Professional bass angler Casey Ashley likes squeezing a school of bass for all it’s worth. This usually requires a change in tactics to trigger additional fish once they’ve been tuned up on a certain presentation.

Casey has a productive first run on a handful of lures in this video, then switches over to a jerkbait to catch a few additional fish. The Lucky Craft Slender Pointer 112MR can reach schooling bass down to 10 feet of water when worked on a long cast with a slow retrieve. Implement some drag and sweep retrieves into your cadence to reach that 9-10 foot mark while showing the bass something different.
