One Trick to Fish Lipless Cranks around Grass

Former Elite Series pro and Texas fishing guide Dennis Tietje fishes a lot of grass lakes in Texas during the fall, winter and early spring months and one of his favorite lures for this time of year is a lipless crankbait, namely the Strike King Red Eye Shad. However his biggest pet peeve is when grass keeps accumulating on the hooks of his lipless crankbait and ruining an otherwise good cast. So he’s figured out one trick that helps him fish a lipless crank more efficiently around grass.
