Flipping and pitching expert Tommy Biffle targets cypress trees in southern waters because of their excellent cover attributes. Each tree can attract and hold numbers of bass next to their sprawling base and expansive root system. Tommy discusses the importance of targeting and thoroughly working each cypress tree by feeling out pockets between roots and working the presentation out several feet. A common mistake is to just fish the base while missing bass in the middle and outside of the root structure. Work from inside out, and clear all of the stumps before terminating your cast.
