We all remember when a poncho was the only thing keeping us from getting soaked when fishing while it was raining. A sheet of plastic with a hole in the center and if you were lucky, it had a hood. We are not sure if it kept us dry or channeled the water to make us wetter but those days are gone and all of us are very thankful for that.
