Replacing a Trolling Motor on Your Own

Terry, Jason and Walker installed a Minn Kota Fortrex 112 on Jason’s Phoenix 920 Pro XP back in the spring of 2014, and filmed it for others considering buying a new trolling motor and installing it on their own as a Do It Yourself (DIY) project.

It’s not hard but does take an hour or two of time and consideration. Here are some tips and things to consider before installing a trolling motor. Obviously this task is easier if you have a trolling motor already installed, but this video should help either way for those that want to get a new trolling motor and install it themselves.
