Getting presents is special no matter your age. For those of us who fish, there’s nothing better than opening a package filled with fishing gear!

This year I was given a Lucky Tackle Box subscription and I’ll be honest—the anticipation of opening that little black box is pretty cool. First, I was really impressed with the way the box was packaged. Solid box, tissue paper-lined and it’s especially good for anglers just starting out because all of the products in the new LTB are categorized by species. I bass fish mainly so I got the bass version, but the LTB now has six other species-specific boxes including panfish, saltwater, walleye, ice fishing, trout and fly fishing. Each box is specifically priced.

I just received my first box and I didn’t know what to expect. In my box I received a 2016 calendar, a LTB sticker, a card describing what is in the box and a $5 Tackle Warehouse gift card, YUM Tubes, Biwaa Deus Swimbaits, a LIVETARGET crawfish crankbait, Cortibalm lip conditioner, Mann’s Baby 1-Minus, Strike Pro Flex Phantom Swimbait, Mustad Grip Pin Hooks and a package of Baitmate Fish Attractant. All for $23.95 per month and the first month is only $5.

The LTB is a fun package that is perfect for youth and seasoned anglers alike who are wanting to add to their arsenals but also are looking for name brand merchandise. The suspense part is pretty cool, too!
