We posted a link to our boating safety article today and then we were forwarded this video from the 2013 Florida BASS Federation Nation state championship tournament that was shot by Blaine Partee. Partee was actually leading after day one on the co-angler side. Then this wreck happened and cost him his chance at the win. Thankfully no one was hurt in the head on collision. Partee believes they were going about 45 mph when the two boats collided. All four anglers were okay. Running those canals and passes like that can be very dangerous. Better to slow down on short blind corners and take it easy. But this will be a good reminder for all anglers in boats to be on guard every time they are behind the wheel of a bass boat. Check out the video here:
EDITOR’S NOTE: Foul language at about the 3:10 mark.
