Angler Killed by Snowmobile While Ice Fishing

A 28-year old Michigan angler and father of two, Michael William Hunter, was killed while ice fishing on Devils Lake in Southern Michigan when a snowmobile crashed through his ice shanty. He was declared dead on the scene by authorities.

The angler was there fishing the annual Devils Lake and Round Lake Tip-Up Festival Saturday. The accident occurred around 7:30 pm Saturday Feb. 13, 2021.
