Bass are instinctive feeders and often bite fishing lures out of reaction or impulse as much or more than hunger. Sometimes triggering that impulse is caused by popping or shaking a soft plastic around cover and we find that a small accent color can be the place that fish keys on a bait and sees the flash that is the key to triggering them. And if you can add a bit of scent with it too, then it’s even better.
