Clent Davis delivers a simple yet important bass fishing PSA: bass love spinnerbaits with painted blades! Most bass anglers rely on a combination of gold and silver blades while overlooking color as a powerful triggering factor.

Besides being less conditioned to them, painted blades such as white and chartreuse can flat out trigger bass better, especially in dingy water during the spring and fall months. Davis recommends experimenting with different blade colors, sizes, and types, with a 1/2-ounce double willow spinnerbait an excellent starting point.
