How to Store Soft Plastics in Your Boat

Matt Lee tours the county with a boatload of tackle, pun intended. Soft plastics can be a particular challenge due to the vast array of sizes, profiles and colors needed to catch bass everywhere. They’re also among the heaviest and can affect the weight and balance of your boat, thus performance. Do you keep in the original packaging, use ziplocks or other bags, or store in tackle trays? How much should you carry? Matt is an adherent of less is more. A good bass angler knows what he or she relies on day-in, day-out for a wide range of conditions, so Matt is a proponent of simplifying to your core baits then storing in the manner used in this video. Extras can remain in the garage or truck for restocking when you’re off the water.
