The realism of bass fishing lures has been amazing in recent years. Manufacturers spend thousands of hours testing these lures in an attempt to make them look just like a live baitfish. Our friend and University of Florida professor, Dr. Jimmy Liao of Fish Code Studios, has made an outstanding video that dives into the biomechanics that are involved when trying to mimic bass prey. His explanation details how lure manufacturers can make lures with the most realistic swimming motions.

If you’re big into the science behind bass fishing, we highly suggest you follow Dr. Liao’s YouTube channel. He posts some great videos that’ll really get you thinking!
