Magnum Finesse Wacky Follow-up

We ran a video on “power flick shake†fishing and have had several emails about what bait we use for this technique. We sometimes use a  Zoom Trick Worm  but most times we like a bit bigger worm for this approach. It’s time to let the cat out of the bag and tell you the worm I prefer for this technique is a  Zoom Magnum Trick worm.

This is a bulky worm that can be cast well and has an action all of its own. Using an  EcoPro Tungsten Flick Head  makes it glide, open and close and slide on a fast and jerky retrieve. This is a power technique and can be fished on both a spinning and casting outfit. I choose a 7-foot rod for this style of fishing because it handles well and allows for more accurate casts.

The best part of the Magnum Trick Worm is its durability when rigged wacky style. I will use an O-ring on the worm on occasion but really prefer to use the Flick Head rigged directly through the worm. It works best rigged 1/3 into the worm versus in the center of the worm.

Give this technique a try, and let us know how you do.
