Overall build, action and consistency

The Twitch’n Ninja Glider is easy to fish. You really can’t fish it wrong in a sense. It has great action whether you slowly reel it and let it glide side to side, walk it back just under the surface by twitching it or do the reel-stop-reel method to get the wide sweeping glides out of it. It has a great size to it at 7 inches to where not only big fish, but the occasional 2-pounder will eat it as well. It’s a durable and sturdy bait that you don’t have to baby like some of the higher-end ones.

That’s where this bait and a couple others, shine in my opinion. Many glide bait aficionados turned their noses up a few years ago at the thought of mass-produced, composite glide baits as opposed to the hand-carved wooden ones many paid big bucks for.

I bought a couple of those baits myself back in the day. Though some were great, there was no consistency. The action of some were way off and the price tag had me dissatisfied with the performance of some and terrified to use the ones that did work well for fear of creaming a dock with one and watching $200 worth of wood explode on impact.

These new composite glide baits like the Twitch’n Ninja Glider are not only more affordable but they’re also consistent. Once a company like Hardcore gets the mold dialed in, it’s a bait that does what it’s designed to do every time. I love the art of hand-crafted wooden baits; don’t get me wrong. But I’m not a fan of a $200 masterpiece with a few blemishes that I’m afraid to even get out of the box.

But I digress. My point is, if you’re looking to get into glide bait fishing or expand your arsenal with some different colors, the Twitch’n Ninja Glider is not only affordable but also a well built and consistent bait available in 10 color choices to give you opportunities to do just that.
