Hauschild Wins Skeeter Owners’ Bass Tournament on Lake Fork

The annual Skeeter Owner’s Bass Tournament held in Lake Fork, Texas, which was postponed in 2020, made a strong come back on Lake Fork at the Lake Fork Marina and Hotel in Alba, Texas, June 3 through 6, with an attendance of roughly 2,000 anglers competing in over 1,000 Skeeter boats.

The winner of this year’s event, Arlen Hauschild from Seguin, Texas, took home the grand prize of a new 2021 model Skeeter FXRâ„¢20 with a 250-horsepower Yamaha V MAX SHO ® for his catch of 9.82 pounds. Taking home the second big ticket prize, by weighing in the largest under the slot with a 3.08, was Timothy McNeal from Knoxville, Tenn., who won a brand new Yamaha Wolverine ® X4 ® XT-R ® Side-by-Side.

“We were so excited to bring this annual family event back in 2021 – it’s an iconic tournament for both the Yamaha and Skeeter brands,” said Jeff Stone, Sr. Vice President/General Manager of Skeeter Boats’ Kilgore, Texas factory and corporate headquarters. “Even though things looked a little different this year with social distancing measure in place, we were thrilled with the response to the tournament.”

“This event is our way of thanking all Skeeter boat owners, past, present and future, who helped get us to where we are today. We look forward to seeing everyone again in 2022,” said JoAnne O’Bryant, Sr. Marketing Projects Manager.
