Two anglers found themselves in a tense situation recently while fishing on Lake Norman. Cousins Douglas Steele and Michael Morris were so excited to hit the water, they accidentally left their drinks and snacks at the boat ramp. After fishing for a while, they decided to quickly return to their vehicle to retrieve their things. As they pulled up, they noticed a white SUV in the water with an elderly woman inside of it, still wearing a seatbelt. The anglers were able to pull her from the vehicle just as it began sinking.

These two men quite possibly saved her life!
