Abu Garcia just introduced a new series of reels that not only are under $80 each but also are as smooth as apple butter and tough as an old shoe. We were able to test them out at a recent writers event and could not believe how smooth, powerful and cool looking they were!
The new reels are the Black Max, the Silver Max and Pro Max. The Black Max is a low profile, 5-bearing beauty with a 6.4:1 gear ratio, oversized handle for more power and weighs in at 7.13 ounces. It retails for $49.95. It is available in both right and left handed models. The Silver Max is a 6 bearing model also with a 6.4:1 gear ratio. It retails at $59.95. It too is availble in both right and left handed models. The Pro Max is a 7 bearing reel, a 7.1:1 gear ratio and comes in both right and left handed models, as well, and retails for $79.95.
