Father and Son Killed in Bass Boat Collision

After a bass boat collision on famed Table Rock Lake in Missouri, a 55-year-old man and his 14-year-old son have been pronounced dead. The crash happened just short of a mile west of point 24 in Barry County near the Emerald Beach boat ramp.

Based on the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s report, a 1993 Ranger 392V bass boat occupied by Ted Dossett and his son and a 2018 Bass Cat Caracal nearly collided head-on Friday morning around 7:40. When the collision occurred, the Bass Cat reportedly went over the port side of the Ranger, killing both the father and son. They were pronounced dead on scene and as required by law, the driver of the other boat was tested for alcohol.
