Mike Iaconelli has a knack for finding fish, and this ability is largely based on his embrace of technology. For Ike, it’s all about areas of change, be it isolated cover like wood or grass beds, or bottom composition changes from hard to soft. Finding and waypoint marking these areas gives you a milk run of high percentage spots to start fishing. As he states in the video, you don’t need top dollar units – many entry level fish finders now have mapping, side imaging and down imaging in addition to conventional 2D sonar. Master the use of these technologies, and you’re going to catch more fish.
