Stop Hooking Bass in Practice with This Trick

Hooking bass in tournament practice is a surefire way to reduce your catch come game day. Wes Logan combats this problem with a simple system involving a tungsten weight and soft plastic affixed to a center-pin screw lock. It fishes nearly the same as a plastic with a hook so you can have confidence you’re developing a get-bit pattern. The configuration also extends the life of each bait – the centering pin spring makes it nearly impossible for bass and cover to remove the plastic.
