Strike King Adds 4 To National Pro Staff

Strike King Lure Company has amassed arguably one of the most impressive pro staffs in professional bass fishing. And they have been busy adding some young talent to their staff in the offseason. Today they announced the signing of Cody Meyer from the FLW Tour as well as Jordan and Matt Lee from the Elite Series and Tom Kemos from the professional walleye tours.

Here is some of what the anglers and Strike King had to say about these signings:

“Cody came very highly recommended to us as not only a talented and innovative young pro angler, but also as a genuinely great guy,” said Allan Ranson, Chief Operating Officer. “Both of which are very important to our organization in terms of fit and value to our brand. In all my research and dealings with Cody, I have been extremely impressed and feel certain that he will greatly add to our new product development and brand marketing, especially as it relates to west coast relevance.”

“I consider it a great honor to be joining Strike King,” Meyer said. “It is both humbling and exciting. They build products that are staples in the tackleboxes of anglers everywhere, from Kevin Vandam, to the kid fishing in a farm pond. They are the perfect combination of innovation, function and value.

“The Lee Brothers have proven their angling abilities in several different arenas,” said Doug Minor, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Through hard work and dedication to their dreams, they have both achieved some remarkable feats in a short period of time. Aside from their angling resumes, these guys are what we’re all about. We share a certain kinship with two brothers that are serious about their passion for bass fishing as all of us at Strike King spend as much time as we can on the water with our kids, parents, spouses, and siblings. By no means am I downplaying their individual talents and value, but the Lee brothers are somewhat poster children for all of us who appreciate the family aspect of fishing.

“Our brand is constantly evolving. In that evolution, we are branching out into other genres of fishing that we’re passionate about. We did this successfully in crappie and now we’ve got our sights set on walleye,” said Minor. “In order to produce top-notch products, you have to have top-notch knowledge. That’s what Tommy brings to the table. He knows walleye as well as anyone on the earth.”

“I couldn’t be happier than to be with Strike King,” says Tom Kemos who has won many national level events as well as Angler of the Year titles. “They are serious about building baits that help people catch fish, and so am I. We’ve got a lot of big things in the works for walleye anglers.”
