Yeah, we’re excited too, because frog season is here once again. Like any topwater, you need to learn to hesitate a bit, or you risk jerking the bait out of the fish’s mouth before it has the hooks. Hollow body frogs are top producers throughout the country, but can be particularly challenging to hookup with if you’re jumping the gun. Contrary to hard baits though, they’re remarkably soft, and bass usually hold on to ‘em like a soft plastics. Learn to hesitate using the technique shared in this video, and you’re hookup ratio will greatly improve.
