Bassmaster Classic Cliff Pace is not your ordinary tinker when it comes to jigs and spinnerbaits. He has spent thousands of hours studying and understanding what makes baits work well in certain conditions. He’s spent a lot of time pouring lead and used that ability to literally help design three jigs that are his Dream Jigs for V&M Baits. These three jigs will be the first in the Pacemaker Series from V&M.

The Flatline Football jig, the Pulse Swim Jig and the Adrenaline Flipping jig all feature custom hooks, unique details, designs and custom colors to match the custom skirts.

The jigheads are not only unique, but specifically designed to be functional for each type of jig fishing. For instance the Adrenaline Flipping jig features a recessed line tie on a custom 30-degree jig hook that gives the hook a much bigger bite than most conventional jigheads. It also features flat ridges on the bottom that keep the jig upright and ready for a good hookset at all times.

Likewise the Pulse Swim Jig features eyes that are recessed and protected so they will last longer as well as a unique keel and wedge shaped head that when the jig hits a piece of vertical cover, actually deflects the jig and turns it away from the cover so the hook won’t snag as easily as other jigs. They have a strong custom hook, great finishes and skirt patterns.

The new Flatline Football jig will be a staple for Pace as he’s won a lot of money on the Bassmaster Elite Series on football jigs from V&M. It has a unique triangle wedge on the bottom of it to stir up more sediment along the bottom and give the bait more appeal to bass.

These jigs will become available toward the end of August. You can pre-order now at www.bayououtdoors.com. Here is a short video of Pace explaining how he designed each jig.

  1. Great looking BUT THEY(the one’s in the video) DO NOT LOOK anything like the PACEMAKER that I have had to have installed in my chest and if they all work as good as the one I have installed I should really start to catch LOTS and LOTS more fish
