Omega Releases New Swim Jig and Swimbait Head

Two new lures designed by angler who won $100,000 on prototypes

Omega Custom Tackle
announced yesterday that they have released the new Casey Martin Signature Series Swimjig and the Swimbait Head. Martin has won four tournaments with the help of prototypes of the new swim jig and swimbait heads since September of 2011. He  won three FLW Tour co-angler titles and a BFL Boater title to boot, amassing more than $100,000 in the process.

“Casey has dominated while throwing this bait,” said Omega’s Todd Barnes. “And our Elite Series pros Derek Remitz and Jared Lintner have both cashed several checks on the prototype swim jig.” Martin added that “the Swim Jig is still an underutilized technique, especially for pressured Bass or when fishing out of the back of the boat."

The Swim Jig weighs 3/8 ounce, employs a solid 5/0 Mustad Ultra Point Hook and will come in 6 colors, three standards and three custom hand-tied patterns Martin has used to do so well in these tournaments.

We love to fish swim jigs and actually have already caught fish on this jig, yesterday in fact. What we really like about it is the built in tail. The skirt is cut perfectly to make a nice flare and the extra long tails kick very subtly like the tail of a shad. We sometimes want a little more commotion with our swim jigs so it's nice that it has a nice lead keeper on the collar too.

The Swimbait Head will be very similar to the Swim Jig with the same red eyes and profile but without a weedguard and skirt.
