The Abu Garcia Revo Rocket will be introduced at ICAST 2013. This new reel touts a 9:1 gear ratio. There are several ways to achieve that but the true measure of how “fast” a reel is comes with how many inches of line it takes in with a single turn of the handle. The new Revo Rocket is said to take in 37 inches of line with a single handle turn. More than 3 feet of line gets taken up in a single crank. Guys that like to flip and pitch or catch bass deep on contact lures where you have to hop and put a lot of slack in your line will appreciate taking up 6 feet of slack in two cranks. It weighs 6.75 ounces, has 20-pounds of drag, 10 ball bearings and will retail for $299.

  1. GOOD GRACIOUS ALIVE. That may very well be the best looking REVO I have ever seen. It’s even USC colors! I know many people here in SC will be buying them up. Myself included!
