ICAST 2012 | Yum Adds Several New Shapes, Expands Castable Umbrella Rig Line

Craw Chunk, Mighty Craw, Yumphibian, and Lil Suzee as well as Flashmob, Tripod and more

We were fortunate enough to get the YUM products before the show and have actually fished with several of the baits already. New for next fishing season, and probably in retailers shortly after the show are several new designs from the pro staff at YUM. On the soft plastics side they introduced the Mighty Craw, Craw Chunk, Yumphibian and Lil Suzee. On the castable umbrella rig side they introduced the FlashMob in three sizes as well as a 3-Wire Kit and a miniature version they are calling the Tripod.

The Mighty Craw is hybrid craw that will be not only a great jig trailer but also a great punching bait. It's got a rigid build but it has a great movement in the water. The segmented body adds to its action with large appendages and small tentacles giving it multiple vibrations under the water.

The Craw Chunk comes in two sizes 2 1/2 and 3 3/4 and several great looking colors. The small body threads nicely onto a jig keeper or can be hung on the end of the hook as a typical chunk. The arms are very durable but feature oversized appendages that really cause a commotion on the slightest movements.

The Yumphibian gives YUM a creature bait to round out their lineup just as the larger Lil Suzee swimbait gives them a good grass and finesse swimbait as well as another option on their many castable umbrella rigs.

The Flash Mob builds on their popular Yumbrella and adds four willow blades to the five wire configuration, giving anglers a 9-bait appearance in the water. The blades are secured in place by crimps and sping nicely on a steady retrieve. The rig comes in three different sizes.

They also released a 3 wire kit that comes with the rig, 3 heads and 3 swimbaits for states that only allow three lures at a time. And they scaled the kit down to size more suitable for white bass, panfish and other smaller gamefish with their new Tripod Kit.
