Hobie is always a mainstay in the boating category at ICAST, and this year their Hobie Mirage Pro Angler 12 won not only the Boat Best of Show but the Overall Best of Show. The kayak is packed with features. The tackl compartment has a swinging tray holder that pops your boxes up and out towards you. The chair though is the real show stopper. It is adustable up and down. The seat folds up to allow you to stand and fish. The back can be adjusted to give you more or less lumbar support. You can prop the seat up with a cool ratcheting handle to give your knees a break. And it's even removable so you can use the chair at the beach or your backyard barbeque.
The under side has a unique cavity for a specialized plate that you can mount a Lowrance puck to and then the cable runs up through a channel to allow you to mount a depth finder anywhere you want in the kayak. Two rod holders in the back plus rod channels down either side. It's pre rigged for an anchoring system if you want to add one. It has dual steering. It weighs just 120 pounds fully rigged and can support up to 500 pounds. It's 12 feet long and 3 feet wide across the beam
