Cooling Down with Purple ICE

Royal Purple Radiator Additive Great for Tow Vehicles

This summer has been hotter than the devils doorbell. The entire country is sweltering and temperatures exceeding 95 degrees have been the norm. It's not only hard on anglers on the water but also hard on their equipment getting there too. Tow vehicles can take a beating this time of year. Depending on geography, distance to travel and road conditions, temperatures of transmissions, tires and engines can go through the roof. It's important to run a high grade engine oil, keep tires properly inflated, and maintain a good summer and winter grade antifreeze at all times.

We recently ran across a product by Royal Purple called Purple Ice that we are very excited about. It's a super-coolant radiator additive that reduces engine temperatures and protects against corrosion and scaling of the radiator in the process. It is particularly effective in tow vehicles. The 12 ounce bottle can be used directly with antifreeze and poured into the system to increase engine efficiency and performance and maintain cooler engine temps.

Pulling a boat full of gear and fuel with the air conditioning blasting can cause the engine to overheat. Purple Ice will reduce engine temps and allow the engine to perform at peak efficiency.
