Spiderwire Stealth Camo Braid

Well, we got through some of the presents under the Junemas tree and noticed we had a stocking hanging from the fireplace that looked like it needed to be opened. We missed it because it was camouflaged!

Seriously, those of us who have been around fishing for a while have always wondered why braided line had to be white. Its durability and toughness was always downplayed because of the way it looked. The downside to braid for some anglers was that it not clear water friendly. Ultracast Invisi-braid was introduced last year and it helped but 2009 will bring a killer new product by Spiderwire that takes the visibility out of the equation and brings some invisibility into it.

Stealth Camo Braid is a unique product in the braid space as its low-vis coloration blends very well into the underwater environment. It works super around vegetation and wood equally well and uses a Teflon treated construction to keep it strong, smooth and round. "Round" is a key as this line being cylindrical resists digging into the reel. It also has excellent knot resiliency.
