Phoenix Boats to Sponsor PAA Tour

Gary Clouse, President of Phoenix Boats announced today they have entered into an agreement that will make them the exclusive boat sponsor of the PAA (Professional Anglers Association) Carrot Stix Tournament Series. Phoenix will be the presenting sponsor. The new partnership between Phoenix and the PAA is helping to focus the spotlight on a new dimension in professional bass fishing. The field is nearly filled for the three event inaugural 2009 season as the top world professionals compete to qualify for the Toyota Texas Bass Classic.

“We are very excited to be part of the PAA Tournament Series and believe the timing is right for us to support the PAA’s inaugural tournament season”, Clouse stated. Explaining further he says, “part of my interest in being a sponsor of the Carrot Stix PAA Series stems from my total belief in the PAA and growing bass fishing as a sport. I have been behind the PAA 100%, and even if we were not a sponsor, I’m still an angler at heart and I believe the PAA is very important to bass fishing moving forward. And when Phoenix had the chance to be a part of a tournament series that has names like Kevin VanDam, Denny Brauer and Luke Clausen competing, we didn’t have to think long.”

Clouse has signed up to fish all three of the Carrot Stix PAA Series events and hopes to qualify for the Toyota Texas Bass Classic. “To qualify for the classic would be great, but with the competition level what it is I know it will be tough,” adds Clouse
