Giant Smallie Lefebre Style

When Dave Lefebre takes you fishing you might just catch a record. David Simmons of FLW can tell you several stories of line class records and now Dave Mahler and Aaron Hall of FLW have a few of their own.

Lake Erie produces some great smallmouth but this one is a real toad. Mahler caught the beast and Hall netted it. It was a 7 lber, caught drop shotting a goby and was caught on 6 lb Gamma line. After certification, Mahler chose to release the fish. He measured it so a replica could be produced. Look for the live release video on Lefebre’s website www.davelefebre.com.
