Christmas in June

Just like kids in the candy store, media people with new products arriving prior to ICAST is like Christmas in June. We all get very giddy opening and checking out what will be highlighted in Vegas in July.

The bait and tackle junkies here at Wired2Fish had our noses pushed up against the glass at World Headquarters II as the UPS Truck pulled up with two very large boxes straight from Spirit Lake, Iowa, Home of Pure Fishing.

The anticipation was well worth the wait. We will be highlighting these products from time to time as we get closer to the Holy Week for Anglers.....ICAST.

The Fun Stuff

We opened box one and it was filled with 19 new kinds of line. How can you get excited about line you might wonder? Again, its all about the new, the shiny and the technology breakthroughs! We love the breakthroughs!

Lines-Fireline Tracer

Tearing through the packing the first line that caught our attention was Fireline Tracer Braid. Unlike any freshwater fishing line short of lead core we have seen, Fireline Tracer is a "breakthrough" coloration line that has alternating hi and low-vis colors that provides both hi-vis bait tick detection and stealthy low visibility in the same line. Every 5 feet the color changes between florescent green and darker moss green. Now that is cool and very functional as well.

The Retail Part

This is some tough stuff with small diameters too. It will be available in 15/4, 20/6, 30/8, 40/10, 50/12, 65/14 and 80/15. You will be able to buy 110, 300 and 1100 yard spools too.

Look for Tackle Warehouse to have lots of this line as we believe it is great from a visibility, user friendliness and strength perspective and was designed specifically for casting and trolling applications.

Next up will be Stealth Camo Braid........Merry Junemas!
