Alan McGuckin, long-time industry public relations professional and friend of Wired2Fish was hosting a media outing for Quantum Rods and Reels and was on a boat with John Frazier of Saltwater Sportsman magazine and guide / TV host Rich Tudor of Saltwater Experience TV. McGuckin, or "Guck" as we call him in the industry, put down his camera and notepad long enough to fight a shark to the boat. It just so happened to be a lemon shark weighing more than 200 pounds, his biggest fish ever.
He was able to fight and land the big shark with a Quantum
Boca Offshore Spinning Rod, Quantum size 80
Boca PTs Spinning Reel, spooled with 50-pound braid with a 50-pound steel leader tipped with a slab of cut barracuda on a 7/0 hook.
That sure beats perch jerking in Oklahoma, eh Guck? Great Catch! Thanks for sharing!
