Randall Tharp of Alabama won the final stop of the Bassmaster Southern Open today with a total weight of 66 pounds 12 ounces. He squeaked out the win over Greg Vinson who finished with 66 pounds even. This was the second win for Tharp on the Southern Opens as he won at Santee Cooper as well.
Matt Herren who led after day 2 ended up in third place with 65 pounds 9 ounces. Matt Herren was crowned the points leader in the Southern Opens as well.
Herren, Greg Pugh and Bobby Lane qualified for the 2010 Bassmaster Classic as the top 3 anglers from the trail.
