Shadalicious is Delicious

The swimbait craze has taken a hard right turn from joined fish like models with the hollow belly swimbaits taking center stage. Introduced first by BassTrix and used by several professional to win big tournaments the new models have taken it to a whole new level. One of the issues with BassTrix was its availability. They were very hard to find and prices varied as a result.

Getting some of the new baits are still difficult at times but because they are production products versus being built one at a time has gotten anglers to sit up and take notice.

We recently published a report on the Berkley Hollow Belly and had a subsequent Radio Program with Scott Suggs (click here) where he described the best way to rig them.

We recently got another great new looking hollow swimbait from Strike King that looks absolutely delicious. It’s called the Shadalicious and has some unique characteristics worth mentioning.

First, it’s all about the action. We tested it in a swimming pool and it’s got a great wobble and stays upright when retrieved. We tested it with a weighted Mr. Blitz hook. It looks like a live shad swimming and doesn’t roll. Second, it has a textured/ painted body that allows for some neat color combinations which we like and Strike King tells us the durability is unmatched. One of the knocks on some of the others has been their durability, their eyes fall off and they tear easily. Not true with the Shadalicious. Not only does Strike King use an improved plastic in the formulation but the paint process adds to the durability without causing any ill effects to the action.

They come in 3 sizes, 4.5, 5.5 and 6.5 inches and in a package of 5 baits. Strike King delivers the Shadalicious in 6 great colors including Sexy Shad, Ayu, Green Gizzard, Blue Gizzard Shad, Chartreuse Shad and Neon Ghost Minnow.

The Inside Scoop They retail for 7.99 per package and are generally available now at great local retailers and online at the Tackle Experts at http://www.tackleexperts.com/ .
