KVD’s slick deal

Not only is Kevin VanDam a great angler but his reputation for telling the truth on the baits he uses and the products he endorses is unmatched as well.

The Wired2Fish staff recently had the opportunity to put Kevin VanDam’s Line and Lure Conditioner to the test and the results were impressive. It performed as advertised.

Many will remember Avon’s Skin So Soft product. Designed as a skin care product Skin So Soft has been used for a myriad of applications. From insect repellent to an arthritis cure.

We found Kevin VanDam Line and Lure Conditioner also has a multitude of uses. This conditioner increases casting distance, eliminates line memory and backlashes and fights corrosion. It also works great as a anti-spotting and glare agent for sunglasses and depth finder screens. We even used it to eliminate squeaks on pedestals and lid hinges in the boat.

Because it contains no petroleum distillates it also does not pollute the water and leaves no residue or awful scent. It is non-toxic and contains a high level of sunscreen so it keeps baits and skirts from fading as well.

We used it on mono, braid and fluorocarbon lines with equally impressive results. Casting distance improved and there were no worries about the product weakening the line. We have no science to back it but It actually seemed to strengthen the line.
