All of us want a new boat. There is nothing better than picking out the colors, features, engine and options then getting it home and taking it to the water. If you have had that opportunity you would admit its pretty special.
The next best option to getting a new ride is updating and cleaning up the old skowl and making it like new. Boat manufacturers like Ranger have boats out there that can be over 40 years old. They still float, they still catch fish and they are now called "retro".
How about putting some new into the old. New lids, new pumps, new carpet, a jackplate and a livewell upgrade are just a few things that can be done to the "old girl" to make her like new again.
We have been working on a project here at Wired2Fish and are near completion. We took an old boat and are making a new one out of it. Its a small lake special and we are going to let you in on the results. Companies that have been involved in our little project are Ranger, Humminbird, Minn Kota, Yamaha, Berkley, Bluewater LED Lighting, Buells Marine, T&H Marine, Igloo, Gator Grip, Ardent, Mayfair, and several others that we will tell you about later.
We bet you have a boat just like it at home and would challenge you to send a photo of your finished project. We want to see the good ones, the funny ones and the cool ones. We want to hear the stories and the challenges. We will post some of them on Wired2Fish.
Saving a few bucks can actually mean spending a few as well. Stay tuned...you will see our project very soon.
